Customer Review: MBT Sport Walker Athletic Shoe
For the price I paid for these I expected them to last for years. NOT! The soles (outer side of toe area) wore down to nothing after about the second season of wearing them outside. They also do not fit correctly in the heel area and will give you hugh blisters on your heels. But for the price I paid I was determined to wear them so once the blisters healed I remended the problem. I placed carpet padding inside my socks back in the heel area until eventually the heel stretched out and fit correctly. I continued to wear them outside until now the 3rd season (wear outside maybe 4 months of the year) they need replaced. I cannot say I see any difference in leg tone or cellulite, and I have never had back pain so I cannot vouce for the claims that others make on that topic. I will say that I like the shoes, but not well enough to pay the hugh price for them again, mostly because they have worn out on the bottom. My gosh I have asics and nike's I have worn longer outside and they are not all worn away like these shoes are! With that being said, 3 years after purchasing the first pair I have found a used pair that have obviously been used very little and I purchased them. Only because the price was right! I have found out that the "blisters on the heel" thing was not just a fluke with the first pair, as the second ones have done the same thing. The shoes are heavy, so they make me feel like I am getting a little something extra with each workout (I powerwalk), but i have resigned to using the new pair only on the treadmill so maybe the bottom outter toe area will not wear so quickly. Also, the shoes do help you to stand more upright. All in all, not worth the high cost but at a hugh discount...YEA! Marsha, Hoagland IndianaMBT White Sport Walkers
Customer Review: They fall apart
I bought my MBT's 7 months ago and the bottom rubber around the toe is lifting. I contacted MBT and they informed me that since they are over 6 months old (exactly by 3 weeks) I needed to contact Resole America who can possibly repair the shoes. Mind you, I paid $244 dollars for these walking shoes. Resole America ask that I send a picture which I gladly did. Well, I was told these "walking shoes" should not be worn in water or dirt and that my shoes could not be repaired by them. Come on, you spend $244 on a pair of "walking shoes" only to find out when you have a problem that there is an underlying stipulation that you basically can't wear these shoes outdoors? I'm disappointed that I'm having trouble with MBT to stand behind these very expensive tennis/walking shoes. Buyer, beware!
